Back at School (update!)

I’m back at school and I just wanted to pop by and give you an update, rather than a big, long, involved post. I took the last week and a half off from blogging in order to get settled into my new college home, get started with classes, visit with the friends I haven’t seen all summer, and be nervous about auditions for the fall show, without worrying about getting new posts out. I actually meant to do Java & Joy at least, but I spent no time on the computer, so I didn’t have anything to share! Ha!

It’s been a little over a week since I’ve moved back now.

And I’m starting to get settled into my routine. What with 3 English classes (2 of which are upper level), I have A LOT of reading to do each day, which takes lots of time, being mostly Old English so far. And now I’m in the fall show too, with rehearsals starting Tuesday. Phew! I’m going to do my best to keep writing and publishing on here at least once or twice a week, and I’m getting ready for a big giveaway reveal coming next month, so look forward to that!

When I do take a day (or week, whoops!) off from blogging you can still find me posting updates on Instagram, and (hopefully) Facebook too (links here).

I didn’t feel ready to start school again, but now that it’s in full swing I’m enjoying it. I love the classes, theatre, routine, and fall slowly settling in with cooler temperatures. Playing games with my roommates, spending time with friends again, pacing and reading epic poems dramatically to myself before class, and taking a makeup class with my cousin. It feels like I’ve been here a lot longer than a week already, and the amount of reading I’m already doing does not bode well for when papers all start coming due. . . my amount of time will diminish yet again, and I’ll create a new routine again.

Until next week. . .

I’m off to read Beowulf and Sir Gawain, go over lines, finish homework, and hopefully fit a walk in after classes are done for the week. . . *sigh* Happy weekend!
